Cláudia S. Sarrico is Professor of Management at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho, and a senior researcher at the Centre for Research on Higher Education Policies, Portugal. Previously she was seconded as a policy analyst at the OECD.
She was an associate professor at ISEG Lisbon School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon (2010-2021). In 2014/15, she was a visiting fellow of the Operational Research and Management Science Group of Warwick Business School. She holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Aveiro (Erasmus Scholarship at Université de Lyon III, France and Commett Scholarship at Universität Freiburg, Germany), and PhD in Industrial and Business Studies from Warwick Business School. She has served as an advisor to the Board of Portuguese Research Funding Council (FCT), an advisor in the Office of Studies and Analysis of the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education, and worked as an assistant professor at the University of Aveiro (2000-2010). She was also a consultant in the statistics and operational research group at Royal Mail Consulting and a scientist at the Supply Chain Management Unit of Unilever Research. She did her final degree project at FhG-ISE, Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, Freiburg, Germany.
