I am Associate Prof. with “Agregação” in the Department of International Relations and Public Administration. I have a Ph.D. from the Centre of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Durham, UK, 1997. I am the Portuguese expert within the research group Providing for Peacekeeping Project, a project of the International Peace Institute (IPI) in collaboration with George Washington e Griffith universities. I am currently a member of the GTA on Societal Challenge 6: Europe in a Changing World | Science with and for Society | ERC, H2010.
