No âmbito do ciclo de conferências dos 30 anos da Escola de Economia e Gestão (EEG) da Universidade do Minho, realiza-se a 12 de março de 2012 a conferência subordinada ao tema "Not your father's NATO, your NATO!", apresentada por Larry Chalmer (National Defense University, Washington D.C.). A sessão decorre às 15h00 no Auditório 1.01 da EEG, no campus de Gualtar, Braga. A organização deste evento é da responsabilidade do Núcleo de Investigação em Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais (NICPRI) da EEG-UMinho, com o apoio da Embaixada dos EUA.

Lawrence Chalmer - nota biográfica (em inglês)

Lawrence Chalmer is the Director of the NATO Education Center at the National Defense University, Washington, D.C. The Center's main program of NATO related education is mandated by the U.S. chief of defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, for attendance by US military officers enroute to NATO duties. He has been a Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI Fellow in Foreign Politics and International Relations, and is a graduate of the Senior Managers in Government Program of Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
