The Directing committee of the PhD in Economics, jointly offered by the University of Minho (UMinho) and the University of Coimbra (UC) was pleased to organized of the 4th PhD Workshop in Economics, held on June 16th, 2016.
Articles in all fields of Economics will be considered. The workshop is open to PhD students from Portuguese and foreign universities, and will consist of presentations of papers by PhD students followed by a discussion, also by PhD students. Sessions will take place at the School of Economics and Management (UMinho). The language of work is English.
The workshop and the 13th NIPE’s Summer School are offered simultaneously but not overlapped. From June 13th to 16th, Professor Yacine Ait-Sahalia from Princeton University will teach a four-day Summer School on “An Introduction to High Frequency Financial Econometrics and Trading”.

Applications should be sent to
PhD-econ@eeg.uminho.pt, including a full paper and a short CV of the presenter. The deadline to receive applications is May 14th, 2016 and decisions will be announced before May 20th, 2016.
