Trained in Management, Ana Figueiredo has developed all her career in Marketing. She has worked in Galp Energia, Andersen Consulting, and Wunderman, where she spent 11 years, the last 5 of which as Director of Customer Service. Since October 2007, she has been the Marketing Director of SPAL – Sociedade de Porcelanas, SA.
SPAL was founded in 1965 with the goal of producing porcelain tableware. Production started in 1968. With its own design department, SPAL was the first Portuguese company to organise a designer competition, in 1970, to spot new Portuguese designers. In addition to young Portuguese designers, SPAL works with prestigious international designers such as Carl Gustaf Jahnsson, Marguerite Waltfridsson, Jack Prince, Yoko, Yoshiko, among other. The company currently employees 650 people and exports a substantial part of its production.
