We are pleased to announce the EEGCONNECT with a book presentation under of the topic "The Banking System and the Portuguese Economy - Facts, Causes and Consequences of a 20-year Trajectory". This event we have the great honour of receiving Carlos Tavares, Carlos Alves and Fernando Alexandre.
The seminar will take place on the 09th October at 17:30, in the School of Economics and Management, University of Minho.

Carlos Tavares was Minister
of the Economy (2002-04) and Secretary of State for the Treasury (1989-91),
President of the Portuguese Securities and Market Commission (2006-16),
vice-president of the Portuguese Bank CGD and served as administrator in
several banks, among other important functions.
Carlos Alves is Associate Professor at the Porto Faculty of Economics and at
Porto Business School, a director of the Portuguese Securities and Market
Commission (1998-2000 and 2008-16) and president of the Committee for Economic
and Market Analysis of the European Securities and Markets Authority, among
other important functions in the financial system.
Fernando Alexandre, Associate Professor at the EEG-UM, will comment on the book and
participate in the debate.Registration
