Beatriz Casais, Vice-President of EEG and Professor of
the Department of Management was a speaker in a panel discussion about digital
marketing in the 1st National Meeting of Turismo in Rural Space, which took
place on February 10 and 11, in Sertã.
The event, organized by the Rural Hotels Association
of Portugal, with the support of the Tourism of Portugal, brought together
entrepreneurs from the sector, government entities and the academy to discuss
the main levers for the development of rural tourism, contributing to the
enhancement of the territories in socio-economic terms. Professor Beatriz
Casais, representing the University of Minho, highlighted the role of marketing
in the sector and guided to the main techniques and challenges in order to keep
up with the increasingly digital tourist journey.
This is another activity of interaction with society
in which the School of Economics and Management is involved.
