The School of Economics and Management of the
University of Minho received on May 22nd the emeritus professor
Raymond Fisk, from Texas State University. Raymond Fisk delivered a seminar
entitled "ServCollab: Building Research Capacity to Serve Humanity".
The event aimed to discuss the importance of research collaboration to better
respond to the needs of humanity.
Raymond Fisk is the founder and chairman of
ServCollab and is widely recognised as one of the world's leading experts in
service marketing and customer relationship management. With extensive academic
and professional experience, he has dedicated himself to exploring how
organisations can deliver high quality services and create significant value
for consumers. During the seminar, Raymond Fisk presented the ServCollab
concept, an innovative approach that emphasises collaboration between
researchers, businesses and communities to develop practical and sustainable
solutions that address social and economic needs. Raymond Fisk addressed key
issues such as the development of strategic partnerships between academia and
the business sector, the importance of applied research and the positive impact
that collaborative initiatives can have on society. He also shared some
concrete examples of successful collaborative projects, in which the union of
multidisciplinary knowledge has resulted in innovative solutions to complex
challenges.
The seminar provided participants with an
in-depth insight into best practices in collaborative research and how these
partnerships can extend the reach and effectiveness of scientific discoveries.
