Luís Sá, a researcher at EEG's Research Centre
for Economic and Business Policies (NIPE), won the Pedro Pita Barros Prize.
This honour is awarded every two years by the Portuguese Association of Health
Economics (APES) to the best scientific article in the field. The article by
Luís Sá entitled "Quality provision in hospital markets with demand
inertia: The role of patient expectations" was published in the Journal of
Health Economics in 2021.
The Pedro Pita Barros Prize is sponsored by the
National Association of Pharmacies (ANF) and aims to encourage research in the
area of Health Economics by young researchers, recognising the best scientific
article in the area of Health Economics published in a peer-reviewed scientific
journal.
EEG congratulates NIPE researcher Luís Sá on
his award.
