EEG participated in a mobility
week in Paris as part of a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), together with ICD
Business School and the University of Cyprus, from 27 November to 1 December
2023. The initiative brought together 10 Portuguese, 12 Cypriot, and 15 French
2nd cycle students, a total of 37 students.
The topic of the BIP was International Strategic Management. The
EEG professor responsible for this course was António Azevedo, who accompanied
the students in the preparation of an internationalisation strategy for
Portugal and Cyprus of a French company, Maison
Pierre Hermé, which the students had the opportunity to visit and attend a
lecture on their business model and the internationalisation strategy of their
products. It is a segmented product of the luxury market.
BIP is a mixed activity in an online
format – with synchronous and asynchronous sessions – and in face-to-face
format – a week designed to enrich the experiences of our second-cycle students
to enhance their international footprint, consistent with our
internationalisation strategy. The beginning was online, and the students were
divided into working groups. Each group brought together the three
nationalities. The students were instructed to work on the theoretical
concepts/models and propose ways of entering the markets. The face-to-face week
was dedicated to finalising and consolidating presentations and written work.
The mobility week in Paris also
included guided tours, and students were encouraged to experience the cuisine
française. They were also encouraged to socialise with French and Cypriot
students.
