EEG Graduation Day and UMinhoExec 2024 Graduates Ceremony: Celebrating Academic Excellence

The EEG - School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho celebrated the end of the academic life of its final-year students with the
UMinhoExec - Executive Business Education
Graduation Day and ceremony, which took place at the
Tibães Monastery
on June 22, 2024.
This event, which marks the culmination of years of effort and dedication, was attended by graduating students, their families, teachers and guests, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and pride. The ceremony began with the opening of the session by the President of the EEG,
Luís Aguiar-Conraria
, who highlighted the importance of this milestone in the students' lives and praised the effort they had shown throughout their academic career.
This was followed by a talk by
Isabel Estrada Carvalhais
, an alumna of the International Relations degree and Professor in the EEG's Political Science Department, who encouraged the recent graduates to embrace future challenges with determination and resilience.
The ceremony moved on to the solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas in the Monastery's Chapter Room, where the diplomas were handed out to the finalists of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles of studies by the directors of the respective courses.
The session was chaired by the President of the EEG Pedagogical Council,
Professor Rita Sousa
.
The event also included the UMinhoExec - Executive Business Education Graduates Ceremony, celebrating the 10th anniversary of this Executive Training school.
The Director of UMinhoExec,
Professor Miguel Rodrigues
, handed out the diplomas to the graduates, highlighting the positive impact of continuous training on the progression of professional careers.
