According to the abstract presented by the student, the study highlights the importance of perceived organizational support (POS) for the involvement of health professionals in research projects in Portugal. The research revealed that despite organizational and managerial challenges, health professionals show resilience and continue to engage in research activities. The main barriers identified include time, heavy clinical workloads and an insufficient research culture within health institutions.
To increase the participation of health professionals in research, it is essential for health organizations to promote a robust supportive environment. This can be achieved through the development of training programs, greater availability of resources and funding for research projects, and the creation of collaborative networks that encourage knowledge exchange. Strengthening organizational support will not only facilitate the involvement of health professionals in research but also contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in clinical practice, benefiting the healthcare system as a whole.
