On February 16, 2024, EEG's Generating Skills Development
Program (EEGenerating Skills) once again brought an audience of 75 students to
EEG's dst auditorium to hear José Dionísio. The Founder of Primavera Software,
S.A. came to EEG to share his challenges and professional experiences with the
students, in a session that ended at 18:30.
José Dionísio is a computer engineer from the University of
Minho, entrepreneur and businessman, founder and manager between 1993 and 2023,
among others, of the company Primavera Software, SA., a leading company in the
business management software sector in Portugal and the PALOP countries, based
in Braga and which was sold in 2021 to the venture capital fund, Oakley
Capital. In addition to philanthropy, where he is taking his first steps, he is
interested in the development of new business projects with high growth
potential, and whenever possible he advises them on the paths to avoid in terms
of management.
"From a start-up created in 1993 by two
friends, to the largest Portuguese business management software development
company with more than 350 employees spread across five countries, Primavera
Software has offered us the chance to experiment with lots of management
models, covering all areas of the management of a medium-sized company: from
finance, to human resources, to sales, marketing and production. These models
were always aimed at the disruptive growth of business projects, because after
all, companies exist to grow and in this way also offer their employees room
for growth and happiness," says José Dionísio.
EEG's Careers Office, the promoter of these initiatives,
continues to bring top managers from leading organizations to EEG to share
their life stories and professional experiences.
