The School of Economics, Management and Political Science (EEG) is a dynamic and innovative school active in research, teaching/learning and relations with the economic and social fabric.
EEG is organised into three departments (Political Science, Economics and Management) and hosts three research centres (CICP, NIPE and IBMS). Research plays a central role in the School's activities, with scientific output geared towards developing theoretical and practical contributions, often contextualising perspectives on sustainable development. Annual research activity results in the publication of around one hundred articles in international scientific journals. In the field of teaching/learning, EEG offers a wide portfolio of eight bachelor's degrees, 15 master's degrees and five doctorates. Of particular note is the innovative cross-cutting skills development programme – EEGenerating Skills – offered to students. In its interaction with the economic and social fabric, the EEG is active in executive training, specialised consulting and applied research. The executive training unit UMinhoExec, based at the School, plays a key role in this context.
