Cláudia Sarrico, Full Professor in the
Management Department of the School of Economics and Management at the
University of Minho and senior researcher at the Higher Education Policy
Research Centre (CIPES), has carried out two studies on doctorates and master's
degrees in Portugal. The work is part of the Independent Commission for the
Evaluation of the Application of the Legal Framework for Higher Education
Institutions (RJIES), to which Professor Cláudia Sarrico belongs.
The article "Doctorates in Portugal",
published in June 2023, includes a general overview of doctorates in Portugal,
an assessment of the national register of doctoral theses and an observation of
the institutions that award doctorates. The study entitled "Master's
Degrees in Portugal", published in September 2023, provides an overview of
master's degrees in Portugal and analyses the register of students enrolled in
and graduating from master's degrees.
