The University of Vilnius,
located in Lithuania and a partner within the ARQUS Alliance, is visiting the
University of Minho from 11 to 17 December 2023 to execute a Twinning
programme. A Twinning is a project created by two partner institutions, in this
case within the scope of ARQUS, which aims to make its participants aware of
the similarities and differences between academic, social, and cultural life in
the two countries in the context of academic and socio-cultural sharing.
This project aims to
explore the similarities and differences in academic, social and cultural lives
between the two countries. During the visit, six students from Vilnius
University join EEG students to participate in workshops, lectures and
open-ended classes on the EU economy and contemporary geopolitics, coordinated
by professors Tom Hashimoto and Sandra FernandesThe Twinning is coordinated by
Professor Sandra Fernandes, from the School of Economics and Management of the
University of Minho and Professor Tom Hashimoto, from the Faculty of Economics
and Management of the University of Vilnius.

and student associations in various academic and social activities. Among these
activities, we highlight the lecture "EU Economics - Southern Dimension"
by Professor Tom Hashimoto, which awards internationalisation stamps to EEG
students, the lecture "EU Economics - Eastern Dimension" by the same
professor, as well as the participation in an open class in which contemporary
geopolitics is discussed.
