The School of Economics, Management and Political Science of the University of Minho invites the entire academic community to participate in the presentation of the book Public-Social Partnerships: the case of (de)nationalised hospitals, by Nuno Reis, to be held on 1 October 2025, at 6:00 p.m., in the dst Auditorium of the EEG.
The session will feature a presentation by António José Seguro, Professor at ISCSP, who has had a long academic career.
The book, published by Editora d'Ideias, addresses the role of partnerships between the public and social sectors in the context of hospitals that were nationalised and subsequently denationalised, offering a critical and well-founded reflection on management models and the sustainability of health services in Portugal.
Nuno Reis holds a PhD in Public Administration, specialising in Health Administration, from ISCSP-ULisboa, a Master's degree in Business Administration from INSEAD and a degree in Dentistry from FMDUP. He is currently Hospital Administrator and Ombudsman at Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Barcelos, and also holds positions in various institutions in the social and communication sectors.
