The “O Meu Futuro Financeiro” contest challenges university students to put their financial literacy knowledge into practice
Back
9/15/2025 - 10/26/2025
The Bank of Portugal and CFA Society Portugal have launched the second edition of the “My Financial Future” competition, aimed at higher education students. The initiative, which in its first edition had more than 400 participants from 27 institutions, aims to improve students' financial knowledge and promote responsible behavior as they approach entering the job market.
Registered teams will have to solve a case study on personal finance, addressing areas such as family budget management, savings, and credit.
Participation is open to all students enrolled in the 2025/2026 academic year at university or polytechnic higher education institutions. Teams must have between two and four members and registration must be done by a responsible teacher by October 26, 2025.
The competition will take place between October 2025 and March 2026, culminating in a national final during Financial Education Week 2026. The winners will receive cash prizes: 1st place – €1,000; 2nd place – €500; 3rd place – €300.
Further information, rules, and support resources can be found on the
