The School of Economics, Management and Political Science at the University of Minho hosted two sessions entitled ‘EEGConnect: Presentation of the UMinho Libraries’ on 7 and 14 October in the dst Auditorium, with the aim of familiarising students — especially first-year students — with the resources and services available at the University of Minho Libraries.
Promoted by the UMinho Documentation Services, the sessions were conducted by Dr. Cristina Gonçalves, Senior Technician responsible for the Technical Processing area, who presented the functioning of the libraries, the document collection, the loan, renewal and reservation services, as well as access to RepositóriUM and RCCAP - Portugal's Open Access Scientific Repository.
The initiative also highlighted other services supporting academic and scientific activity, reinforcing the importance of information literacy and the efficient use of resources available to the student community.
