On October 16, the UMinhoExec Lounge at the School of Economics, Management, and Political Science of the University of Minho hosted a conversation about the exhibition “Scènes de l'inattendu / Scenes of the Unexpected” by French artist Nicole Joye. The event was attended by the artist and moderated by Helena Mendes Pereira, director and curator of the zet gallery.
The session promoted an enlightening and participatory dialogue about Nicole Joye's creative process, marked by the memories, stories, and reflections that accompany the capture of her images. Between photography and painting, the artist shared how gestures, frames, and perceptions intertwine in the construction of her works, exploring the beauty and charm of the world through unique and unrepeatable moments.
The exhibition “Scènes de l'inattendu/Scenes of the Unexpected” remains on display in the UMinhoExec Lounge at EEG until January next year.
