Future change agents explore how marketing can serve people, the planet, and purpose in an Erasmus+ program hosted by the University of Minho.

Between 27 and 31 October 2025, the School of Economics, Management, and Political Science (EEG) at the University of Minho hosted the face-to-face phase of the Blended Intensive Program (BIP) “Social Marketing for the Common Good,” an Erasmus+ initiative that brought together students and teachers from four European universities to explore the role of marketing as a driver of social transformation, promoting inclusion and sustainability.

The program included the participation of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design of the University of Katowice (Poland), the Faculty of Economics of Matej Bel University (Slovakia), and the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (Romania), in addition to the EEG itself. The virtual component took place between9 and 22 October 2025, preparing participants for the intensive week in Braga.During the BIP, students were challenged by Água e Energias do Porto to develop social marketing proposals focused on sustainability and community involvement, applying theoretical concepts to real challenges.

Organised into international and multidisciplinary teams, participants combined creativity, empathy, and strategy to propose campaigns and initiatives that link communication and social impact. Recognised by the European Social Marketing Association (ESMA), the programme was coordinated by three EEG professors, in conjunction with European partner institutions. The initiative reinforces EEG's commitment to international, interdisciplinary, and social impact-oriented training, empowering future professionals to become agents of change in the service of the common good.
