Natália Barbosa, professor of the
Economics Department of the School of Economics and Management (EEG) and
researcher at the Centre for Research in Economics and Management (NIPE), was
distinguished the award for Best Scientific Article on the Internationalization
of the Portuguese Economy in the Post-Covid-19: Opportunities and Challenges,
via the article "Outward FDI, restructuring, performance upgrading and
resilience: Firm-level evidence from Portugal." This award is promoted by
the Gabinete de Estratégia e Estudos (GEE), in collaboration with AICEP -
Agency for Trade & Investment, E.P.E.
The winning scientific articles
reflect on various topics, including exports, business performance, financing,
investment, employment, transport costs, digital strategies, and public
policies, and were presented at the Conference "Internationalization of
the Portuguese Economy," which took place on Tuesday, September 13th, at
the AICEP Auditorium, in Lisbon.
It is the 9th edition of the
GEE's Call for Papers initiative, which aims to promote knowledge and research
on the Internationalisation of Portugal and to function as a forum for public
policy solutions in the area.
