The Masters in Marketing and Strategy, Business and
Management, and Finance from the School of Economics and Management, University
of Minho, are listed in the QS Business Master's Ranking 2023, which highlights
the best Masters’s programmes in the areas of Management at a global level.
According to the QS ranking, the Master in Marketing
and Strategy is among the four best Masters degrees in Marketing in Portugal,
occupying the 101+ position worldwide. The Master in Business and Management is
also among the best four Masters’s Degrees in Management at a national level,
occupying between the 121-130 position globally. The Master in Finance is among
the best five Masters degrees in Finance in Portugal, ranking 151+ at the international
level.
The data was collected using three surveys: the QS
Global Employer Survey, the QS Global Academic Survey, and a survey filled in
by schools/universities. The inquiry completed by schools/universities analysed
quantitative indicators such as graduate salaries, class profiles, and other
institutional data. To be included in the QS Business Master's Rankings, the
programme must be taught face-to-face and full-time and have an average class
size of at least 15 students. All schools/universities must be accredited by
AACSB, AMBA, EFMD (EQUIS). A total of 13 criteria form the basis of five key
indicators on which programmes were ranked: employability, alumni,
cost-effectiveness, thought leadership, and diversity in classes and faculty.
The release of the results concerning the Master in
Accounting, also submitted under the QS ranking of specialised master's
degrees, is awaited.
