Demise of Professor Lúcia Maria Portela de Lima Rodrigues Back

The Presidency of the School of Economics and Management, University of Minho, on behalf of the entire academic community, publicly expresses its grief on the demise of Professor Lúcia Lima Rodrigues and conveys its deepest condolences to her family.
Professor Lúcia will be deeply missed by colleagues, students, and friends.
The wake shall start this Monday, October 3rd, 2022, in the Mortuary Chapel of Fraião in Braga. Tomorrow, October 4th (Tuesday), at 10:30 a.m., a mass will be celebrated in the same place, in Fraião's Church, in Braga. At the end of the mass, the body will follow to the Church of Chaves, where the funeral ceremonies will take place, with a funeral mass at 03:00 p.m.
A book of condolences is placed at the EEG's entrance and will be available until Friday morning, October 7th, for those who wish to pay tribute to Professor Lúcia Rodrigues. At a later time, it will be handed over to the family.

Curriculum Summary:
Professor Lúcia Lima Rodrigues was a Full Professor at the School of Economics and Management, University of Minho, having held leadership positions as EEG's Vice-Dean, Director of the Management Department, and Head of the Accounting Area. She was Vice-President of the Commission of Accounting Standards and coordinator of the Public Commission of Accounting Standards, having been chosen as a personality of recognized merit, contributing since 2013 to the production of public accounting standards. Lúcia was a member of the Corporate Reporting Committee of the European Accounting Association and a member of the Academic Panel of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Board (EFRAG), a community body that endorses international accounting standards. She represented Portugal in several European Union accounting bodies, namely the European Public Sector Accounting Standards (EPSAS) Working Group of Eurostat.
Lúcia Lima Rodrigues has guided numerous theses and published widely in the financial reporting and sustainability domains, including the area of accountability in Foundations. She has provided consultancy services for several prestigious organisations, such as the Tribunal de Contas of Portugal, the Banco de Portugal, and the Order of Certified Accountants. Professor Lúcia's research has contributed to academic development and support for professionals. Her work has been recognised at a national and international level. Indeed, in 2022, Lúcia held the 10th place at a National level for the area of Management in the Research.com World Ranking.
