The CLICTOUR project-Climate change resilient tourism in protected areas of Northern- got around half a million euros funding, from SAICT I&D&I- Structured Projects- Horizont Europe. Lead by Rita Sousa, member of Centre for Research in Economics and Management (NIPE) of EEG. This team includes professors Francisco Carballo-Cruz, João Cerejeira, José Cadima Ribeiro, Linda Veiga and Luís Aguiar- Conraria, also members of NIPE, and professors from the Center of Studies of Comunication and Society (CECS), of University of Minho.
This project aims to support the restructuring of the concept of tourism in select protected areas, like Peneda-Gerês National Park, Alvão National Park, and Litoral Norte National Park. These protected areas are covered by the Institution of Nature and Forest Preservation.
