Professors of the EEG Elisabete Sá and Joaquim Silva,
Researchers of the Interdisciplinary Center for Social Sciences
(CICS.NOVA.UMinho), were awarded by this research center with the
"Scientific Publication Prize - 2021" foreseen in the Incentive
Policy of CICS.NOVA. The winning paper is entitled "The infuence of
ambient scent on the passengers' experience, emotions and behavioral intentions:
An experimental study in a Public Bus service" and has also as co-authors
the EEG Professor Marco Escadas and the former master's student Joana Carvalho.
The paper was conducted in the city of Braga in order to understand how
olfaction could positively influence the bus travel of people in the city. It
was implemented in a public bus service of the municipality, with the
contribution of a local company specialized in olfactory marketing, through
data collection in a pre-test-post-test experiment.
