EEG gives awards and recognition to members of the School and external entities

The day of the forty-first anniversary of the School of Economics and Management at the University of Minho was marked with the presentation of School Merit, Teaching and Research awards, as well as the recognition to external entities that collaborate with EEG and the recognition for the impact of research and career of members of the School.
The Teaching Award was given this year to Professor Maria do Céu Cortez, Full Professor of the Management Department and to Professor António Pedro Cipriano, Visiting Professor of the Political Science Department. The
Research Award
distinguished Professors António Tavares in Political Science, Odd Rune Straume and Priscila Ferreira in Economics, Cristiana Cerqueira Leal in Management, and Maria do Céu Cortez and Florinda Silva in Sustainability. There was also a moment for the recognition of external partners of the School - AICEP, ANJE, StartUp Braga, F3M and DST, and people who distinguished themselves with the impact of their research, as is the case of Professor José Carlos Pinho, professor distinguished by Clarivate web of Science for being in the Top 2% of the most cited scientists in the world. The research impact of Professor Ricardo Sousa and Professor Lúcia Lima Rodrigues, distinguished in the research.com ranking in the areas of economics and finance and management, respectively, was also recognized. A career recognition was also dedicated to Professor Lúcia Rodrigues, as well as to Professor José Cadima Ribeiro, retired Full Professor of the Economics Department, and to Professor Manuel Rocha Armada, retired Full Professor of the Management Department and Professor Emeritus of the University of Minho. It was also recognized the career of the retiring technical collaborator Francisco Mendes, and the most senior EEG employees, Jorge Barrote and Maria Graça Couto Silva, were honored.
