Ricardo Sousa, Professor at the Economics
Department of EEG and Researcher at the Centre for Economic Policy Research
(NIPE), was distinguished with the Best Paper Award at the 29th Annual
Conference of the Economic Research Forum (ERF), held in Cairo, Egypt, on 4, 5
and 6 May 2023. The award-winning paper was co-authored with K. Sohag and A.H.
Elsayed with the title "Oil shocks and financial stability in Middle East
and North African countries".
This year the theme of the conference was on
the future of the Middle East and North Africa development path: Risks and
Opportunities in an emerging world order.
