The session resorted to Speed Interviews where students had the opportunity to learn how to prepare a resumé. In the afternoon they attended a roundtable discussion on the theme "Challenges in building a successful career", led by Antonio Raab (General Director of the Hilti Portugal company), Maria Amélia Ferreira (Full Professor of FMUP and Ombudsman of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Marco de Canaveses), Raquel Vieira de Castro (Board of Manager of the Vieira de Castro company) and Carolina Machado of EEG/University, the moderator of the panel. The consultant, Trainer and Coach of the Ihavethepower, Abel Pereira, has answered the question "Conditioning for success: why some can and some do not?", in a room full of students eager to learn more. Francisco Veiga, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, was interviewed by the University of Minho Radio. He stated that "EEGBusinessDay is a way to encourage more and more interaction of the Academy with the surrounding society, in particular with the corporate I business fabric. In this light, our students will not only be endowed with basic academic training, but they will also start to contact with companies (networking), which does enhance the prospects of their insertion in the labour market ". Diana Gaspar, a student of EEG that participated in the event said that: "I've been with two companies, Sonae and KPMJ, and I had the opportunity to get to know each one of them, learn about their recruitment process, and grasp what do they look for in a young recent graduate".
The session ended by 18:30 pm with West Coast Man performance.
