We are pleased to announce the AlumniTalks@eeg with Bárbara Costa, Bachelor in International Relations. In AlumniTalks@eeg, EEG graduates come back to school to share the stories of their professional careers with the current students and tell us about the projects in which they are involved.

Bárbara holds an undergraduate degree in
International Relations – with focus on cultures and politics – by EEG |
UMinho. She has over 20 years of experience in International Relations and
Institutional Cooperation in Higher Education. Between March 2014 and January
2021 she was the Director of the International Relations Office and the
Institutional Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Programme at the University of Porto.
Roughly during the same period, she was member of the executive committee of
SGroup Universities in Europe and one of the coordinators of the Think Tank
4Latin America. Between 2002 and 2014 she was the liaison officer of the
University of Porto at the SGroup Universities. Under her leadership, the
University of Porto was awarded with several grants financed by the Erasmus+
programme in all of its key actions (KA1, KA2, KA3). Prior to this, she was
responsible for the management of 46 Erasmus Mundus Action2 projects, nice
projects coordinated by the University of Porto, and 37 projects in partnership
with institutions across the world. Between 2011 and 2017, Bárbara Costa was
also the executive coordinator in the University of Porto’s participation as a
technical partner in 6 projects financed by the Intra-ACP actions (2 in Africa,
3 in the Caribbean, and 1 in the Pacific), and Intra-Africa on which the
University of Porto offers technical support to the coordination of these EU
backed projects.
