Note to the Academic Community | COVID-19

In the context of the epidemic scenario caused by the new Coronavirus COVID-19, the University of Minho activated a Commission for the Elaboration and Management of the Internal Contingency Plan. Following the directives issued by the National Health Service for human infection by the coronavirus, the Internal Contingency Plan establishes the level of response and action of the University to minimise the risks of transmission of that pathogen agent. This will apply to all members of the academic community and to those who, for professional reasons or others, may entre the university's facilities.

Under the present circumstances of suspension of activities at the University of Minho and closure to the public of EEG services
, the EEG Presidency is working to manage in the best possible way this situation which affects the daily lives of the EEG Community.

During the closure of the EEG building, the services are operating in teleworking regime. Service to the public will be exclusively carried out by email.
In the current context of suspension of activities at the University of Minho, the Academic Authorities has determined the suspension of conferences, seminars, ceremonies and events of similar nature throughout the University (Dispatch RT-25/2020, of March 10).
Hence, all the events scheduled have been cancelled.
The status of other events will be evaluated depending on the evolution of the atypical period we are experiencing. In due course, the rescheduling of activities will also be considered.
