Back
Friday, 1/7/2022
The X-Culture project is a collaborative learning initiative in international business, aiming for a first-hand experience of international collaboration and consultancy.
In the last edition of the project (2021/22) participated five students from the School of Economics and Management (EEG) of the University of Minh, among 6.228 scholars from 171 universities from 47 countries. João Francisco Fernandes Pereira, a 3rd-year undergraduate student in Marketing, was distinguished as a member of the ten best teams among the 1.132 teams that completed all the stages of the work and delivered the final report. Students are placed in international groups of 5/6 elements in challenges related to international business imposed by companies from different countries. This year, the School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho participated in this project. In this edition, only 10 teams were distinguished as the best.
The five EEG students participated in the project in the scope of the International Marketing Course Unit of the Marketing Degree. Ana Maria Soares, professor of the course unit and responsible for the students' involvement in this initiative, highlights that the EEG students' participation was remarkable in several levels, in peer evaluation, leadership, and final evaluation of the reports. They completed all the stages of the work and submitted the final paper. They were successful in dealing with the differences in values, language, and time zones, as well as the difficulties and learnings inherent in international collaboration. By participating in the X Culture competition, everyone gained valuable cultural experience.
