The School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho is hosting the III Jornadas de Economia Social (JES), which will take place on May 3, 2024, in EEG's DST auditorium.
This event is an initiative of the 2nd year students of the Master's in Social Economy, reflecting the University's commitment to research and practice in the area of social economy.
Aimed at academics, professionals and enthusiasts in the sector, the conference program is designed to encourage the exchange of knowledge, experiences and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of the social economy. From immigration to youth inclusion policies and volunteering, the panels promote an in-depth discussion on issues relevant to the European and Portuguese social reality.
The School of Economics and Management at the University of Minho recognizes the importance of strengthening ties with municipalities and social economy entities and invites all interested parties to take part in this meeting.
In addition to the program of lectures, the JES includes a photography competition on the theme of "Cultural Diversity", stimulating artistic expression and reflection on the cultural richness of our society. This competition is an excellent opportunity to showcase emerging talent and promote culture as an element of social cohesion.
