Sílvia Sousa is an assistant professor at the Economics Department, University of Minho and a researcher at NIPE, Economic Policies Research Unit. She holds a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute, Florence. Her research interests are in the intersection of Labour and Health Economics. She has participated in research projects financed by FCT and POAT/QREN and developed consulting work for national organizations. She was an advisor of the Minister of Labour and Social Solidarity and a member of the Policy Advisory Board of the EU-FP/ project Multilinks. Until 2017, she was a member of the Portuguese Association of Health Economics (APES) direction and of the UMinhoExec executive team.
