 Bachelor in Economics

Our Degree in Economics provides students with a solid education in Economics’ theoretical foundations and quantitative methods. It exposes students to various areas of Applied Economics, such as Bank and Insurance Economy, Innovation, Environment, Macroeconomic Policies, Health and Labour, among others, whilst streamlining a strong approach to economic and corporate reality. It resorts to the use of teaching/learning methodologies that stimulate students’ independent and cooperative work, ensuring the acquisition of the skills needed to be successful in the labour market and boost their future careers. Students socialise with a strongly committed and young faculty, PhD holders by some of the best European and American Universities. Students feel welcome on campus due to the UMinho's modern facilities and a friendly setting. These factors have contributed to render our Degree in Economics a reference in the field of Economics in Portugal, which outshines in the rapid and successful integration of graduates in the labour market.​​​
