Studying Economics enables you to understand how markets work, the conduct of businesses, government policies and the changes in economic systems that are taking place on a global scale. Economic analysis methods are used in both the private and public sectors to study a wide range of real-world problems.

The UMinho's bachelor’s degree in Economics has an innovative and flexible study plan, with a large number of elective curricular units that allow you to personalize your academic path according to your interests and goals. As a student on the Economics degree programme, you will have professors with vast experience in teaching, research and interaction with society who will provide you with excellent training and unique opportunities for personal and professional development.

AIn addition to obtaining a positive grade in the project component, the conclusion of the Curricular Unit (UC) "Project" implies cumulatively, the verification of the following requirements:
(1) compliance with 3 ECTS in the EEGenerating Skills programme;
(2) compliance with the Data Analysis Requirement;
(3) compliance with the Internationalisation Requirement.
