António Tavares and João Martins receive the EEG 2023 Research Award Back

Professors António Fernando Freitas Tavares and João Luís Oliveira Martins, from the Department of Political Science at the School of Economics and Management at the University of Minho (EEG), were awarded the EEG 2023 Research Prize, in the area of Political Science, for their article "Joining the open government partnership initiative: An empirical analysis of diffusion effects", published in the scientific journal "Government Information Quarterly", co-authored with Pedro Camões.

The Prize was awarded at the commemorative session of the EEG's 42nd Anniversary, which took place on March 12, 2024 at the Gualtar Campus in Braga, and recognizes the importance and rigour of research in the field of Political Science.

This prize is awarded annually to an EEG lecturer or researcher who is the author of the article most voted for by the presidents of the scientific councils of the country's main schools and faculties in the areas of Economics, Management and Political Science.

This recognition underlines EEG's commitment to promoting excellence in research and its practical application to society.
