Professor Delfina Gomes wins Robert Gibson Award

The School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho (EEG) is pleased to announce that
Delfina Gomes
, Professor in the Department of Management, was one of the winners of the Robert Gibson Award 2023.
This award, granted by the Accounting History Special Interest Group (AHSIG) of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ), recognizes excellence in historical research in accounting.
The winning article, entitled "Innovation in accounting historiography: Where to from here?", was co-authored by Carolyn Cordery, Giulia Leoni, Karen McBride and Christopher (Paddy) Napier. This distinction is testimony to the significant and innovative impact of Professor Delfina Gomes' work in the field of accounting historiography.
The Robert Gibson Manuscript Award is a prestigious annual prize awarded by the Accounting History Special Interest Group (AHSIG) of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ). This award is given to the article that makes the most significant contribution to the literature in accounting history. The winners are chosen by a vote of the members of the AHSIG and the Editorial Board of the journal Accounting History.
