Dual Degrees

Dual Degrees represent an academic training modality in which students complete two distinct higher education programmes at two different institutions, thereby obtaining two officially recognised diplomas. EEG currently has two partnerships at this level: with the University of Rennes I for the Master's in Economics, and with the University of Rome Tor Vergata for the Master's in Finance.

Dual Degree in Economics with the University of Rennes I
Student nomination takes place at the end of the second semester, with the Director of the Master's in Economics at EEG, and selected students complete their third semester at the University of Rennes I. To obtain Erasmus+ scholarship funding, students must submit their application during the annual call promoted by USAI. UMinho students must complete 60 ECTS before mobility and meet the admission criteria of both institutions, including language certification, qualifications, experience and, if applicable, a student visa. At Rennes I, they complete 30 ECTS according to the Implementation Agreement and attend all courses in the first semester of the Master in Economie et Management Publiques, specialisation International Master in Public Policies. To obtain a master's degree from both institutions, submission, presentation and defence of the dissertation at UMinho are mandatory. Tuition fees follow the annual order of the Rector of UMinho; they are paid at the home institution, in compliance with the regulations of both universities.
