The School of Economics, Management, and Political Science at the University of Minho invites the entire academic community to participate in the “CEOTalk@EEG” session, which will take place on December 17, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., in the dst Auditorium.
This session will feature Edite Barbosa, Chief Corporate Officer at Sonae Arauco, one of the world's largest wood-based panel companies. Born in Viana do Castelo, Edite Barbosa has a degree in International Relations and a postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Minho, as well as a degree in Labor Law from the Portuguese Catholic University. More recently, she completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, adding this course to her solid executive training at INSEAD and IMD.
With 25 years of experience in Human Resources, her professional career has included multinationals such as Valeo, Leoni, BorgWarner, and Sonae Indústria. She is currently a member of the Executive Committee of Sonae Arauco, where she is responsible for Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Internal Audit and Risk Management, Legal, Continuous Improvement, Quality, and Management Systems.
The CEOTalk@EEG session will be an opportunity to learn more about the professional career path, leadership vision, and management challenges at the highest level in a global company.
