The School of Economics, Management and Political Science at the University of Minho hosted the first public session of AILab, an academic project developed by students from the Bachelor's Degree in Management, with the aim of training colleagues in the responsible and effective use of Artificial Intelligence in the context of higher education.

AILab was born from the realisation of three student mentors – Francisco Torres, Yuri Guedes and Fábio Machado – during EEG Business Day, that most students still only have basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, failing to exploit its full potential in their studies, work and academic life. The project offers a free, practical and accessible course, with weekly sessions dedicated to the creation of AI assistants applied to curricular units, promoting new ways of learning and supporting the academic path.

The first session focused on the application of AI to the Marketing curriculum unit, allowing participants to experience the role of these tools as aids in curriculum development.

AILab reinforces the importance of learning to use Artificial Intelligence consciously, preparing students to take full advantage of the opportunities this technology offers.
