The School of Economics, Management and Political Science at the University of Minho hosted the 2nd International Teaching Week, which took place over the course of a week, bringing together international lecturers and researchers to discuss contemporary challenges in the fields of economics, management and political science.
Under the theme “Resilience, Sustainability and Digital Transformation: Navigating Economic, Political, and Organisational Challenges in a Changing World”, the initiative focused on analysing the major transitions currently underway — namely the digital, climate and geopolitical transitions — and on the role of higher education institutions in understanding and responding to these changes.
The initiative featured the participation of academics from various international institutions, including Vilnius University, the European University of Tirana, Yerevan State University, Masaryk University, the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and the National University of Mongolia, reinforcing the initiative’s international and interdisciplinary dimension.
The programme included academic sessions in the fields of Political Science, Economics and Management, fostering debate on topics such as digital transformation, productivity, governance, international conflicts and sustainability. The activities provided a space for sharing knowledge and international perspectives, involving participants from different academic and geographical backgrounds.
The week also included opportunities for academic and institutional interaction, as well as activities exploring the city of Braga and the university environment of the University of Minho, reinforcing the intercultural dimension of the initiative. Participants also had the opportunity to take part in the EEG Research Day, contributing as discussants in scientific sessions.
The 2nd International Teaching Week reinforces the commitment of the School of Economics, Management and Political Science at the University of Minho to internationalisation, promoting academic cooperation, the exchange of knowledge and the development of international networks in teaching and research.
