The School of Economics, Management and Political Science at the University of Minho announces the signing of three new cooperation agreements with Vilnius University, in Lithuania, aimed at students on the Bachelor’s degree in International Business, the Master’s degree in Economics and the Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
These new agreements, established with a partner institution of the Arqus Alliance, represent a significant milestone in strengthening the internationalisation of EEG’s academic programmes and in consolidating academic pathways with a strong European dimension.
Through the Double Degree programme in the Bachelor’s in International Business, students now have the opportunity to spend an academic year at the Vilnius University Business School (VUBS), benefiting from an integrated and distinctive international academic experience. This programme culminates in the award of two separate degrees: one conferred by the University of Minho and the other by Vilnius University.
On the Master’s in Economics, the new Double Degree programme enables students to spend a semester at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Vilnius University, studying for the Master’s in Strategic Economics. This agreement strengthens the international offering of this degree programme, complementing the existing Double Degree programme with the University of Rennes, thereby providing students with two options for dual degrees. The programme culminates in the award of two separate degrees: one awarded by the University of Minho and the other by Vilnius University.
The Mobility Window agreement for the Bachelor’s degree in Economics offers a structured mobility window in the field of Data Science, enabling students to undertake a period of study at Vilnius University and enrich their academic journey with skills that are highly valued in an international context.
The EEG would like to thank the team at Vilnius University, in particular the representatives from VUBS and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, for the commitment and dedication shown throughout this process of expanding the partnership. On behalf of the University of Minho, the EEG also acknowledges the contribution of its Vice-President and the directors of the degree programmes involved, for their collaboration in bringing these important agreements to fruition.
With these new instruments of cooperation, EEG reinforces its commitment to the internationalisation of education, the promotion of international academic experiences and the preparation of its students for increasingly global professional contexts.
