Odd Rune Straume
, professor in the Department of Economics at the School of Economics and Management at the University of Minho (EEG), was awarded the EEG 2023 Research Prize in the field of Economics for his article "The Price of Cost-Effectiveness Thresholds under Therapeutic Competition in Pharmaceutical Markets", published in the Journal of Health Economics.
The prize was awarded at the EEG's 42nd anniversary session, which took place on March 12, 2024 at the Gualtar Campus in Braga, and recognizes the importance and rigour of research in the field of Economics.
This prize is awarded annually to an EEG lecturer or researcher who is the author of the article most voted for by the presidents of the scientific councils of the country's main schools and faculties in the areas of Economics, Management and Political Science.
This recognition underlines EEG's commitment to promoting excellence in research and its practical application to society.
