On October 14, 2024, the School of Economics and Management (EEG) of the
University of Minho welcomed Rui Dinis, CEO of CUF, as part of EEG's Soft
Skills Development Program.
At the seminar entitled “In conversation with Rui Dinis”, the leader of
CUF, one of the largest private healthcare groups in Portugal, shared his vast
experience and vision on leadership, innovation and the challenges facing the
healthcare sector in Portugal and around the world. The event provided a unique
opportunity for EEG students and lecturers to engage in a direct dialog with
one of the main protagonists of hospital management in the country.
During the session, Rui Dinis addressed topics such as the digital
transformation in healthcare, the importance of strategic management in an
environment of constant change and the need to develop transversal skills to
face the challenges of the future. The students had the opportunity to ask
questions and debate the trends that are shaping the sector, namely the growing
pressure for sustainability and efficiency in healthcare services.
The seminar is part of the EEGeneratingSkills initiative, which aims to
complement the academic training of EEG students with the acquisition of key
skills for the world of work, promoting links between academia and business
leaders. The event once again highlighted EEG's commitment to developing
management and leadership skills, which are essential for success in today's
competitive market.
