President of the School of Economics and Management sworn in as Corresponding Member of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences

The President of the School of Economics and Management, Professor
Luís Aguiar-Conraria
, was sworn in on July 4, 2024 as a National Corresponding Member of the Economics and Finance Section of the Letters Class of the prestigious
Lisbon Academy of Sciences (ACL)
. The swearing-in ceremony took place during the commemorative session of the Academy's Day, which was held in the institution's Salão Nobre and was attended by various personalities from the academic and scientific world.
The appointment of corresponding members of the Academy is a distinction that recognizes, above all, the scientific reputation of those elected. It also praises the impact of their work on the scientific community and society in general.
The appointment of Professor Luís Aguiar-Conraria as a corresponding member of the Academy reinforces the School of Economics and Management's commitment to promoting high-quality research and training future leaders in the scientific fields of economics, management and political science.
The Lisbon Academy of Sciences, founded in 1779, is one of Portugal's oldest and most respected scientific institutions, dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of scientific and technical knowledge.
