XII International Conference on Research and Intervention in Human Resources
The School of Economics and Management (EEG) and the School of Psychology (EP) of the University of Minho hosted the 12th International Conference on Research and Intervention in Human Resources.
The event, which took place on October 10 and 11, brought together academics, researchers and professionals in the field of Human Resources (HR) with the aim of sharing the latest research and innovative practices in the scientific field of people management.
The central theme of the international conference was: Human Resources in disruptive times at the crossroads of people.
The conference stood out for the diversity of topics covered, including new approaches to people management, organizational development, well-being in the workplace and intervention strategies in contexts of accelerated organizational change. Artificial Intelligence, automation, new forms of work organization and their impact on people management. Work Life Balance. Leadership, Innovation, Organizational Trust. Human Resources Management Strategies and Practices.
During the various plenary sessions, panels and round tables, contemporary challenges affecting organizations at a global level were discussed, such as digitalization, cultural transformation, innovation and creativity, professional identities, transversal skills of managers and human resources technicians.
Among the keynote speakers were internationally renowned researchers, who shared valuable insights into how organizations can adapt to technological and social changes to promote more inclusive and productive work environments. Case studies illustrating successful interventions in different business contexts were also presented.
The joint organization between the School of Economics and Management and the School of Psychology at the University of Minho underlined the importance of an interdisciplinary vision in human resource management, integrating perspectives from organizational psychology and business management to address issues of leadership, motivation and organizational culture.
The event was widely considered a success, reinforcing the University of Minho's commitment to promoting scientific knowledge and the practical application of innovative solutions in the HR area.
The event was organized by University of Minho professors Ana Paula Ferreira, Carolina Machado, Emília Fernandes, Gina Santos, João Leite Ribeiro, Regina Leite from the School of Economics, Management and Political Science, as well as Ana Veloso and Isabel Silva from the School of Psychology.
