Description

The Doctoral Program in Public Administration aims to provide a solid and advanced scientific education in Public Administration, enabling its graduates to conduct high-level research in Public Management and Public Policies, as well as to perform professional roles related to the program’s areas of study. The program offers students exposure to, confrontation with, and critical analysis of Public Administration theories, supporting the development of competencies based on a strong foundation in the theoretical underpinnings of the field.
The total number of ECTS credits for this study cycle is 240, organized into two phases: the first year is dedicated to learning and research through the completion of course units in the areas of Public Management, Public Policy, Research Methodology, and participation in several seminars. These seminars include contributions from internationally renowned guest scholars and are designed to support students in developing their thesis project. This is followed by six semesters dedicated exclusively to research leading to the completion of the doctoral thesis.
The program, in collaboration with the Research Center in Political Science (CICP), encourages students to participate in research projects and international conferences by presenting written papers.
