The PhD in Marketing and Strategy of the School
of Economics and Management marked its 15th anniversary on 19
October by promoting a meeting with current and former students. The event was
attended by representatives and founders of this joint doctoral programme
between UMinho's School of Economics and Management and the Universities of
Aveiro and Beira Interior.
The session began with speeches by the
Programme's founders - Minoo Farhangmher, Henrique Diz and Mário Raposo - and
members of the current Board of Directors - Cláudia Simões, Helena Nobre and
Ricardo Rodrigues. This was followed by the lecture given by Andrew Lindridge,
from Newcastle University/UK, entitled "Ch...ch...changes: The Geology of
Artist Brand Evolutions". The event continued with a Round Table on
"Carreer paths in Research & Academia in Marketing &
Strategy" and a poster competition.
The meeting ended with a moment of socialising at the University of
Minho's Panoramic Restaurant, in a networking context.
It was a moment for former students to
socialise and remember good times spent at the School of Economics and
Management. The celebrations continued the following day with the presentation
of work from this Doctoral Programme.
