Double Degree in Economics + International Business


The Double Degree in Economics + International Business allows the completion of two distinct degrees (Economics and International Business) in 4 years. It articulates the analytical and quantitative rigour of Economics with an applied understanding of the functioning of global markets and internationalisation strategies. This pathway is particularly suited to students who wish to interpret economic phenomena (growth, trade, competitiveness, risk) whilst simultaneously operating in business and institutional contexts with a strong international dimension.


What it consists of

  • Duration: 4 years, with a pre-defined study plan.
  • Diplomas at the end: two diplomas — Degree in Economics and Degree in International Business.
  • Tuition fees: payment of the current tuition fees for one course, over the 4 years.

Language of instruction

  • 1st year: Portuguese
  • 2nd, 3rd and 4th years: Predominantly in English

Access and application

Applications are made through the National Access Competition (CNA), via a specific application line for Economics + International Business.

Entrance Examinations 2026/2027

To apply for the programme, applicants must complete the following entrance examinations.

  • Either one of the following pairs:
    • Mathematics A + Economics.
    • Mathematics A + Philosophy.
    • Mathematics A + Physics and Chemistry.
    • Mathematics A + Geography.
    • Mathematics A + English.
    • Mathematics A + Portuguese.
  • Or Mathematics A only.
