Bachelors in
Economics
and in
Management
and the
Master in
Finance from the School of Economics (EEG) of the University of Minho were awarded
the EPAS accreditation by EFMD – The Management Development Network, one of the
most prestigious international associations of business schools, with about 900
members distributed in 88 countries. The EFMD Program Assessment System (EPAS) is the most thorough programme accreditation system for business and/or management programmes. It is acknowledged worldwide by potential students, employers, clients and the media.
The EPAS accreditation involves an in-depth analysis of the programmes, through international benchmarking and comparison, in areas such as placing in the national and international markets, institutional environment, curricular structure, learning objectives, teaching methods, the quality of the students, the results and impacts, the connection to the business environment and the quality assurance processes. EPAS accreditation particularly emphasises academic rigour, practical relevance, internationalisation, and ethics and sustainability.
This international accreditation reflects the excellence of these study cycles of the School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho, positioning EEG among the best management schools in the world. It is, therefore, an important landmark in the national and international affirmation of EEG, UMinho and education in Economics and Management in Portugal.
